Chunking with pogies has been one of the most effective means of catching bass in the Providence and Seekonk Rivers this spring. Place a chunk of pogey on a size 7/0, 8/0 or 9/0 baitholder or octopus hook use a fish finder rig with a 3 or 4 bank sinker and 40 - 65 lb braided line on a 9' - 11' surf rods.
