Shortly After the first World War a young German immigrant named Otto Henze took a job in a Philadelphia fishing reel factory. His dream was to one day own a company that built fishing reels people would set world records on. In 1932 that dream became a reality when Henze founded Penn Fishing Tackle Manufacturing Company based out of Philadelphia. Penn has always been branded as a “Saltwater” fishing company with the intent of equipping consumers with gear that can bring in any size catch. Penn Senator and International reels are known around the world as some of the toughest, most reliable reels ever made. Today more than 800 IGFA world records in nearly every classification have been set using Penn Reels. We are continuing with our most aggressive product development plans ever and you can count on Penn to lead the market with innovation and quality. No matter where you fish, or what you fish for, look to Penn to perform flawlessly now and in the future.
